Some interesting ideas were given for additional renovation beyond remediation, which I was open to, provided alternative options were given that were more cost effective.
After several months I received an initial 6 figure quote for more than the purchase cost of the house I currently reside in. This was despite the much lower insurance payout that should have indicated scope of work.
This quote was not itemized, and alternative options were not given. This was sold as a benefit when it clearly was not. Beyond quick choices on replacement flooring I was deeply disappointed and ready to start over with a different company.
I contacted Mandy Reed, my State Farm agent who was handling my claim. She IMMEDIATELY addressed my concerns and set me up with Mike Alliss at Paul Davis. Eric Henson, the General Manager, also reached out to me to ensure my concerns would be addressed.
The difference was night and day after Mike took over. Santa Claus himself could not have gotten the work done faster and within scope. Mike and his team clearly bent over backwards and stepped up to deliver results that were exactly what I wanted.
Other than my time wasted working with Brett, the entire team at Paul Davis was fantastic to work with. Huge thanks to Ian Martin, Mike Alliss, and Eric Henson.
Overall communication was excellent, costs were reasonable, and work was completed quickly. Everyone involved (with the exception of Brett L.) was communicative, respectful, and clearly cared about the quality of work they were delivering.
